President & Project Manager
Simon Stickel
Simon facilitated his passion for building from a young age- he began his carpentry apprenticeship at just 15 years old, learned old style post-and-beam construction during his years in Germany, and cultivated his love of building custom mountain homes in Asheville, NC. Since moving to the High Country to build his family in 2016, and founding Appalachian Mountain Builders in 2021, Simon has enjoyed working with individuals and families to realize their dream mountain home through innovation, close attention to detail, transparency, and dedication to craftsmanship.

Business Manager
Christy Hoffman
With a commitment to excellence that matches our high standards on the jobsite, Christy is an integral part of our team. She takes pride in working closely with clients to ensure that every step of the process is clear-cut and transparent. With her keen attention to detail and years of experience in the industry, Christy ensures that our office runs smoothly and efficiently.

Superintendent
Joe Sherill
As Superintendent, Joe is responsible for managing daily tasks and maintaining smooth operations across job sites. He works closely with crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship. Along with his degree from ASU in Building Science and Construction management, Joe's 22 years of experience in the field, as well as strong leadership makes him a vital part of our team.

Project Administrator
Chelsea Price
​Chelsea is a dedicated professional who plays an integral role in our team. As the main point of contact in our office, she is known for her friendly and welcoming demeanor. Typically during a project, you will communicate closely with her for questions and concerns. In addition to her work with us, Chelsea is pursuing a degree in Social Work, demonstrating her commitment to both personal and professional growth. Chelsea’s passion for the construction industry is evident in her appreciation for the finished product and the craftsmanship displayed in our homes.

Olivia Bryant
As administrative assistant, Olivia keeps the office running smoothly. She handles calls, scheduling, and day-to-day administrative needs, making sure clients and team members get the support they need. Her reliability and positive attitude help create a great experience.
